This concept of Kazreth, a new Noxian fan champion, was created with League of Legends’ character design principles in mind: strong silhouette, functional shapes, and clear gameplay readability.
My goal was to capture the harsh discipline and relentless efficiency that define Noxian warriors, while giving him a unique identity that stands apart from existing champions.
This project was an opportunity to practice a full champion concept workflow and explore a faction I love working with: one built on strength, resilience, and purpose.
Designing Kazreth meant balancing heavy armor shapes with enough mobility to feel like a fast, aggressive frontline fighter. I wanted his silhouette to read instantly as Noxian: angular, structured, and forged by battle, not ornament.
Following a complete pipeline helped me keep the design sharp and consistent: early silhouettes, motion studies, armor variations, weapon prototypes, color tests, a final A-pose, and a turnaround sheet.
Working through these stages made me think deeply about clarity, functionality, and how each design decision supports gameplay readability.
The part I enjoyed most was exploring the Noxian aesthetic through materials: worn steel, battle-scarred plating, layered leather, and deep reds contrasted with cold iron.
Unlike mystical or thematic skin lines, Noxus requires a grounded approach: every piece of equipment must feel earned, practical, and built for survival.
Overall, this project pushed me to refine my design thinking, strengthen my workflow, and stay disciplined about maintaining a unified identity from start to finish.
I learned a lot, and I’m proud of how Kazreth’s final concept captures both Noxus’ philosophy and his own role within it.
