This project explores a cyberpunk agent concept designed with a Valorant-inspired approach to character design, focusing on strong silhouettes, clear shapes, and high gameplay readability. The goal was to create a character that feels stylized, tactical, and instantly recognizable in a competitive shooter environment.
Nyx was designed as a high-tech operative who moves between neon-lit city spaces and combat zones with confidence. I focused on keeping her form clean and readable, while using sharp armor breaks, glowing accents, and controlled color contrast to support clarity at a distance.
The project followed a full character concept workflow, including early silhouettes, face and mask exploration, suit variations, weapon concepts, color palette tests, and final promotional artwork. Working through each stage helped reinforce how important consistency and readability are when designing agents for gameplay-focused titles.
I especially enjoyed exploring the balance between futuristic elegance and street-level grit: synthetic materials, glowing circuitry, holographic hair details, and compact weapon design. Cyberpunk themes work well with Valorant’s visual language because they allow bold color use without sacrificing clarity.
Overall, this project helped me strengthen my understanding of agent design, visual hierarchy, and maintaining a clear identity from concept to final presentation.
